Computer network (computer network) is the relationship of two or more computers in order to exchange data with the young.

Based on the distance and work area computer network can be divided into 3 major
1. LAN (Local Area Network) is a computer network that connects computers to each other that includes computers are in one room, one building or several buildings.
2. MAN (Metropolitan Area Network) That is the LAN network in a larger version. MAN is generally used to connect some adjacent office.
3. WAN (Wide Area Network) is a network that has a very wide range jangkuan which covers an area of intercity, antarprovensi, between countries, even continents.
Computer Network Topology.
Computer Network Topology is the physical arrangement of computers in a computer network.
On a LAN network system there are four types of network topology.
a. Star Topology
b. Ring Topology
c. Bus Topology
d. Tree Topology
Computer Networking Devices
1. Servers are computers that provide services to the client, if the network is connected to the internet then the server computer to function as a gateway.
2. Client is the computer used to process data taken from the computer server
3. Network Card (LAN Card) is a paired network hardware in the computer motherboard found on the computer network.
4. Hub serves as a divider signal data from the LAN Card. Hub also serves as a signal amplifier.
5. Cables and connectors are used by network cable to connect one computer to another computer. The following types of cable networks
a. Wheelbase same cable (coaxial cable)
b. Twisted cable (twisted pair)
c. Fiber optic cable (fiber optic cabel)
cable commonly and widely used is the cable that is unshielded twisted UTP (unshielded twisted pair).
6. Repeater function to amplify the signal in the network
7. Bridge is a network device used to connect a network (LAN) with another network.
8. Router functions to regulate the flow of data from one network to another.
